i wish oregon and california friends could all have blogs, all through the same website. then we could all be friends together.

in case you forgot about me-
i am alive and well.
i work (at the radio station, still) all the time. and when i am not at work i am in meetings for most of the day for my various comittees, clubs, and whatever.
i might still be depressed but i am so busy that i dont have time to notice, so i guess everything is fine.
my boyfriends name is paco (ooo inter-racial! spicy!), and its complicated, among other things.
i still dont have a car i can really drive. but my step dad has hinted at getting a new-used car! japanese too! (sell-out!)
all my friends are pairing off and it weirds me out, and i can see some of them going into relationships that could be devastating, so i have to be reminded constantly, that its not my life. i just have to wait and get ready to be supportive(again).
related: all my cirles are overlapping and it weirds me out and i think i was sort of fine with all my friends never knowing each other, now its my ex-roommate's ex who is my present roommates boyfriend's roommate, who is dating my boyfriend's brother's ex. and im not really suposed to be friends with either of those two due to the "ex" thing. i love awkward groupings when they all physicall come togther on campus and im the only non-awkward link.
i love facebook newsfeed.
my hair is really long. and most of my clothes are from american apparel. COTTON!!!!!!!
everytime i think about my trip to new york (oct 31st!) i kind of pee a little.

thinking about switching over to myspace blog. so add me if you care. but i will probably still use LJ occaisionally out of habit.
things are alright here. but we will know for sure after finals.
and my major is now offically "music and management studies." and next year will be even crazier than this year. only a crazy person would take on something like my senior poject PLUS what is to become Collective Ambition.
but i should try to finish this year up first before i start regretting taking on too much. i havent even broken off the love-hate relationship that is my extracurriculars this school year.
and i just might be getting oout of LA this summer afterall. the clincher: instead of going north, im thinking about going east. but i might not be able to get out at all. this is just another thing that dependent on how this week ends.

last week was most likely the best week i will ever have in my life:
1) moving into the new aprtment, going to ikea!, and going to this ridiculous hawaiian party at my school where all the girls walk around wasted in swimsuits. i wore a shirt that said "hald naked." stayed up until 5 talking to the australian club owner. i spent most of that time just listening to his accent, not actually what he was saying.
2) new KPOET t-shirts are so fucking hot that mischa barton should be calling anyday soon to get one to wear to the next strokes show.
3) my 21st birthday included all my homies going out for mexican food or meeting at the bar that gab works at. aussie was there. still couldnt figure out what the ridiculously successful australian sees in me.
4) went to DISNEYLAND with amy, aussie, jason, and lindsey. i just might work there (i will tell you in a few days)
5) stayed up until 330 talking to jason about the music business club and our promotion company. we basically talk about it all the time and call each other ever 15 minutes because we think od ideas or need to make a hierarchy chart or whatevr else crazy shit we come up with. we have agreed that we have huge crushes on each other, but in a non-sexual way, just total admiration.
6) totally almost moved in, and i ate cereal for breakfast today!!!
7) best birthday party ever! i remember less than half of it, but from what ive heard i had a really great time. i kind of wish i could hangout with my drunk self.
life is awesome!!!!!!!!
(even though i have forgotten what sleep is like thanks to homework, and anxiety. finals week is like 2.5 weeks long at my school! lol!!!!)

i just spent 3.5 hours talking to my friend jason, and it was one of the most passionate conversations ive ever had.
it all started with me showing him an LJ entry from 4 years ago where i had posted LAMEMC68 shows, and i then showed him all of the other show/concert listings i had posted in the community blog. i told him about the meow meow, and i told him which shows i was probably at. after realizing we were going to the same shows days after each other, only in different places, we somehow got onto the topic of starting a music business club on campus. and how it has made no sense that we hadnt networked before (me, him, and our friend andrew). we are the only kids at our school who are doing this stuff in the industry, and all three of us have different contacts. and our friend alex knows every hardcore/sceene kid from LA, and knows half the bands. but it never occured to us that we could pull our resources togther and do something collectively huger than us.
i dont know what the fuck happened next but now we are starting a club/promotion company. and we started formulating a mission statement and a list of words that we want to embody. we are going to make things happen and do everything people dont expect us to do. we are going to me more impressive, and outstanding than 4+ kids from whittier college should be. its much more than putting on amazing shows at a multi million dollar facility.
its so immense, and it such a huge undertaking, and we dont want to aim low. it hasnt even crossed our minds that we cant do this. because we can.
my stomach is so fucking tied up in knots. because if we can get the support of just one person, this could be big. i just wish that i could be articulate enough to express how i feel right now. but im just not. but its really fucking important to me. i feel like throwing up, hurray!
this is on top of an amazing week that just gets better. but i will write about that later. right now this is all i can do.
before he left he said "we are the most innovative leaders on campus" and this is going to happen.

i was offered a position in the disney college program which is basically a job in disneyland + amazing classes including weekly networking with dudes in the billions of things owned by disney (abc, espn, radio disney, etc)
after that i found out i was nominated for the POET exemplar award, so this week at lunch people have to vote for me (if they feel i am the most spirited, and the best leader). which is scary as shit, and i have gone out of my way to avoid situations of judgement like this. but i mean its cool that i was nominated. i am the only junior on the list of 8 nominees, 3 of them are RAs, and one is the former president of the the student body. i have no clue how i got on that list.
then i lost my ID card, so i cant eat for at least a few days.
and gab and i got into this really huge fight, where he kept saying "i get what youre saying, and it makes a lot of sense" but i could still sense the anger in his voice and it was really upsetting. (it was work related)
basically the weekend was a toss up.
but i did see take the lead starring antonia banderas, and dudes YOU MUST GO SEE IT. 1) the cinematography is surprisingly creative 2) dancing movies RULE 3) inner city youths/black people 4) RUFIO FROM HOOK IS IN IT AND HE IS MY NEW CELEBRITY CRUSH.
so go out and see the feel good movie of the year (even better than last years FGMotY: coach carter)
im going to make a spreadsheet of my week.

before i leave:
1) on the fox 12 news in portland there is a NIGHTLY segment titled "METH Watch." but no nightly segment about the failing school system and the continued elemination of awesome schools?
2) six years ago i saw a centipede in the downstairs bathroom of my parents house. i am still scared to go in there (or at least touch my feet to the floor), and i havent seen a bug in there since.
3) i am really glad to be friends with brian still. things were weird for a while (okay heartbreak, but also: remember when he was philosphy major and he looked kind of homeless and tucked his pants into his socks?), but now we can hang out like normal human beings (relatively). besides, he knows almost every word to every panic at the disco song.
4) go to saint cupcake.
well, like molly said "i'm too cool for spring break." back home to snoflake, yoko ono, and spanish style apartments.

aparently i had a lot of bad karma coming my way. im back from eugene, feeling achey and sore, my back and stomach are covered in scratches, and i have thorns stuck in both my legs all the way down, and not to mention the bruise on the palm of my hand.
oh yea and on my drive back today i passedout/blackedout/collapsed/shooklikeepileptic and overall freaked out this old lady at rest stop. this was all probably due to not enough sleep, having only eaten a bowl of cereal and a bag of chips in the past 36 hours, crying so hard for 2 hours last night, and just overall working my body too hard.
then the car broke down (over heated) outside of salem.
and then i lost my credit card.
before all that i lost my camera, and my favorite blue sweatshirt. i also left BJs abruptly at 9 am because aparently we yelled at each other when we were drunk. and things just werent okay between us but niether one of us knows what it was that we said to each other last night.
the week was relaxing and fun up until last night. i spent a lot of time surrounded by boys, and watching other people get high. i met so many really awesome kids.
i guess we were just way too similar, and our differences were too extreme.
as usual, i am really excited to get back to my amazing life and my amazing friends.

For no real reason, things are better now. everything is okay. im swimming in work, papers, and studying, but like i can breathe and i ate pasta today.
so whatever.
portland in oh say... 8 days!?!!!!!!! im really very very really very excited. and i might get my NEW LAPTOP in the mail before then. so its going to be laptop parties, and wifi in coffee shops. i am also looking forward to going to the petstore to pet small things. new pair of pants shopping with my mom. at least one meal at the roxy. hangingout with a tiny girl (at least once). having at least one awkward afternoon with brian and greg. and then a week in eugene (etc!!!)(im going to clean everything in that house)
so i dont even care what happens in the next week. i just keep playing mary j. blige songs in my head and evrything is just great great GREAT!
